1. Keep youth communication safe
Messaging is limited to authorized coach-family conversations connected to an athlete, team, and organization. It is not a player-to-player social network. Adults must communicate professionally, keep conversations relevant to legitimate athlete development, and respect guardian oversight.
Do not ask a youth athlete to hide a conversation, move a conversation to a private or disappearing channel, meet without appropriate adult knowledge, or share information that is not needed for coaching and team participation.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
Do not send or request sexual, exploitative, abusive, threatening, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, violent, deceptive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate content. Grooming behavior, bullying, impersonation, unwanted contact, and any content that sexualizes or endangers a minor are strictly prohibited.
Do not use messaging for spam, recruiting scams, commercial solicitation, malware, or attempts to bypass ProspectHQ access and safety controls.
3. Protect personal information
Do not share a youth athlete's home address, precise location, school schedule, private phone number, personal email address, social-media handle, account credentials, financial details, government identifiers, medical records, or links to off-platform messaging. Use the authorized ProspectHQ conversation and share only the minimum information needed.
Messages are private to authorized participants, but they may be reviewed by ProspectHQ when reported or when reasonably necessary to investigate a safety, security, or legal concern. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
4. Report and block unsafe behavior
Use the Report control on a message to alert ProspectHQ to objectionable content or unsafe conduct. Use Block when you need to stop further messages from that participant. Blocking does not replace reporting when a child may be at risk.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. For help with a safety report, call (206) 796-3640 or use the contact information below.
5. Moderation and enforcement
ProspectHQ uses local content rules to screen every message. Most ordinary messages remain within ProspectHQ. Only when the local rules identify ambiguous or potentially unsafe content may the message text be sent to a contracted AI moderation service without account identity, athlete-profile, team, or organization metadata.
Automated moderation may block a message or hold it for an organization owner or administrator to review. AI helps prioritize possible risks, but it cannot suspend an account or make a final disciplinary decision. Authorized human reviewers remain accountable for consequential enforcement decisions. We prioritize reports involving threats, exploitation, grooming, or youth safety for urgent human review and review other reports as promptly as reasonably possible.
We may remove content, restrict messaging, close a conversation, suspend or terminate an account, preserve evidence, notify an organization administrator or guardian, or contact law enforcement when reasonably necessary to protect a user or comply with law. Knowingly false or abusive reports may also result in account action.
6. Agreement and contact
By using ProspectHQ messaging, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines and the Terms & Conditions. Organization administrators and guardians should review these rules with coaches and youth athletes who receive access.
